    Description

    Starting rate: $18.50/hour

    Join the Advocates team as a Direct Service Worker! In this role, you will support individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges, supervising program residents' daily activities, offering guidance, and role modeling to enhance their independence and goals achievement. Additionally, you will handle medication management, financial assistance, and community integration.

    Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma/GED

    Additional Shift Details: Friday and Saturday 2pm-10pm - other shifts are flexible

    Responsibilities:
    • Participate in treatment plan development and attend meetings.
    • Document progress towards treatment plans.
    • Intervene with clients to address goals and skill development.
    • Link clients with other service providers.
    • Communicate program participants' progress, mental status, and daily changes.
    • Offer ongoing support, guidance, and supervision.
    • Address community integration issues as directed.
    • Monitor and document medication administration.
    • Maintain a clean, safe environment for clients.
    • Stay alert during work shifts.
    • Ensure all paperwork and trainings are up to date.
    • Participate in required trainings.
    • Provide crisis intervention and emergency service access.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent with one year of related experience.
    • Strong interpersonal, judgment, and coaching skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Basic computer applications proficiency.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
    • Valid driver's license and access to insured vehicle.
    • Understanding and competence in serving culturally diverse populations preferred.
