    Job DescriptionThompson Safety is looking for a bright, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your accounting skills to contribute to the financial health of a rapidly growing company. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are driven by numbers and customer relations, we want you on the Thompson Safety Team

    In this role, you'll:
    • Make outbound collection calls and send emails on an assigned portfolio while establishing and improving customer relations.
    • Resolve client billing problems, identify issues attributing to account delinquency and escalate to manager as needed
    • Maintain AR records to ensure credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and unapplied cash is identified and posted timely
    • Interact and communicate with your internal clients (field leaders) to resolve any collection issues that cannot be handled via phone or email.
    At a minimum we'd like you to have:
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles and AR process
    • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, with strong excel skills
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to effectively prioritize work tasks and problem solve
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
    It's preferred if you have:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • 3+ year of AR/collections experience in B2B services
    • Desire for upward mobility
