    Description

    Job Purpose

    Ensure the implementation of all human resource initiatives by plant HR teams. Help formulate and implement strategic plans to attract and retain talent, creating a culture aligned with the company's core values.

    Essential Functions

    • Assist with cultivating a human resource function that is strategic, proactive, results oriented, operates with a sense of urgency and is viewed as competent, accurate, and effective
    • Implement continuous improvement efforts in areas such as systems, policies, processes, and programs with plant HR teams
    • Establish a strong working relationship with plant leaders and build on that relationship to ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved in support of corporate and plant goals and objectives
    • Provide leadership and direction for workforce planning and talent acquisition at the plant level
    • Ensure talent assessment and performance management programs are properly implemented at the plant level
    • Ensure plant HR teams effectively and efficiently administer compensation and benefits plans
    • Develop, implement, and manage employee development and engagement programs including initiatives such as skills-based employee training, supervisory skill building, individual development planning, and leadership talent development
    • Assess plant climate and recommend changes as appropriate to drive employee engagement
    • Directly manage the effective implementation, communication, and training of and compliance with all human resource programs, policies, and procedures at the plant level
    • Ensure governmental compliance regarding ERISA, EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.
    • Participate in company-wide strategic planning and budgeting; ensure the proper management of the Human Resources budget at the plant level
    • Directly manage plant HR staff
    • Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

    Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, psychology, communications, or related field
    • 6+ years of HR leadership experience, with knowledge in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, talent development, compensation, benefits, employment law, and compliance
    • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred
    • Experience in a manufacturing organization with multiple locations; experience in management of a decentralized staff vital
    • Food manufacturing experience preferred
    • Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated success working as a coach, confidant, and strategic business partner
    • Experience managing change with high degree of transformation in a matrixed organization
    • Experience in both strategic and tactical development and execution
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Ability to manage the complexities of a fast growth business and understand all functional areas of HR to support the business now and into the future
    • Highly developed leadership, management, organizational, analytical, decision making, conflict resolution, negotiating, influencing, and consultative skills
    • Cultural competency; experience/ability to work and interact effectively with a diverse, multicultural audience
