    Description
    Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure environment for the classroom children.
    • Adhere & Support the director's processes.
    • Work in partnership with classroom teacher(s).
    • Ensure staff team adheres to policy & procedures.
    • Supervise children at ALL times.
    • Facilitate play by Engaging and Interacting in all learning.
    • Communicate with children in a grammatically and appropriate manner by using a positive, pleasant tone and appropriate volume.
    • Observe children's milestone development quarterly following center determined system.
    • Create weekly age-appropriate lesson plans according to NAEYC Standards.
    • Greets each child and parent upon arrival at the center.
    • ABILITY to manage classroom.
    • ABILITY to identify and respond to a crisis immediately.
    • ABILITY to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
    • Collaboratively work with Teacher(s) to develop STEAM projects.
    • Organize the classroom to support the goals of the program.
    • Maintain minimal housekeeping chores.
    • Light janitorial maintenance work.
    • Ability to walk around the neighborhood/park, bend, stand, and sit on the floor (with the children).
