    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown position requiring a minimum of 2 years at a Level I Trauma facility and active KY or compact RN license.

    Responsibilities

    • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown setting within a large hospital system
    • Med/Surg patient population in a stepdown environment
    • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
    • Every other weekend required
    • Floating required to other universal/progressive care areas within the health system
    • Telemetry monitoring experience utilized in this role
    • Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
    • Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before being considered as a traveler
    • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of application; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
    • Block scheduling is not available for this position
    • Requests for full weeks off between May and August will not be approved

    Requirements

    • Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
    • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
    • Minimum 2 years of experience at a Level I Trauma facility required
    • Experience required in PCU, telemetry, acute care (AC), and Med/Surg
    • 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
    • All certifications must be current and available for verification
