    Position Summary Information

    Job Description Summary A Part-time Preceptor of Clinical Instruction, CVS is an extension of the Clinical Coordinator and will provide clinical instruction and supervision.

    Evaluate students' clinical competency. Understand sequencing of didactic and clinical education. Understand clinical objectives. Display knowledge of program goals. Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress. Maintain competency in the professional discipline. Minimum Qualifications

    • ARDMS or CCI registration in Adult Echocardiography and or RVT, when applicable.
    • Minimum, one year of full-time experience in the field, or equivalent
    • Current CPR certification. Preferred Qualifications
    • AAS Degree or higher in Cardiovascular Sonography

    Note:

    Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.



    • Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the Health Sciences programs and the College.

    Essential Duties Teaching and Learning:

    • Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the department chairperson and approved by the dean.
    • Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, proficiency forms, and student feedback evaluations, etc.
    • Assist in grading examinations and student proficiencies.
    • Assist in the Student Clearance process for admittance to clinical sites (as allowed by employer/site).
    • Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.

    Professional Development:

    • Maintain current license, certification, or other professional credentials required for position.
    • Participate in professional organizations.
    • Read professional literature.
    • Keep abreast of current technology
