    Description

    About the Role

    This Senior Staff Accountant position is a remote opportunity to provide financial support to various property operating departments. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a staff accountant in a casino finance department, with strong supervisory skills and excellent communication abilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze, review, and post standard recurring journal entries prepared by staff accountants.
    • Review and approve account reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
    • Provide training and supervision to staff accountants, including input on team member reviews.
    • Prepare complete, accurate, and timely financial statements and reports for management staff, auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.
    • Assist managers in interpreting departmental financial statements and ensure adequate information is provided to promote an understanding of the financial statements.

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and related statutory requirements.
    • Two to three years of experience as a staff accountant in a casino finance department preferred.
    • Strong supervisory skills, including training, reviewing, and problem resolution.
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.

    Working Conditions

    This role requires the ability to work independently, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is also required.

    Compensation

    The estimated salary range for this position is $58,000, depending on experience.
