    Position Overview
    Autodesk's communications team helps tell inspiring and authentic stories to internal and external audiences across the globe.

    As part of the CEO communications group, you will create communications and content to help the CEO inform target audiences about our vision, strategy and goals.

    You will bring communications expertise, energy and creativity to help our CEO find and tell authentic stories to employees, media and other partners.

    You will be reporting to the Head of CEO communications.

    Responsibilities

    Support the head of CEO communications and partner with communications team members and other partners to amplify the CEO's narrative across internal and external channels.


    • Develop a strategic internal communications plan for our CEO, in collaboration with the CEO communications team and other internal communications functions.
    • Develop communications and content for company-wide, leadership and organization specific all-hands; leadership and other corporate announcements; board of directors' meetings and communications; earnings employee communications and annual reports, among others.
    • Provide a compelling point of view on positioning, internal communications approach and channel strategy for the CEO for multiple initiatives and announcements; ability to debate and offer countering points of view with supporting evidence where applicable.
    • Prepare select executive communications across a variety of internal and external channels with high quality including briefing documents, video scripts, speeches, and slack posts.
    • Partner with others on the communications team, employee communications, and with others across the company on communications projects in the best interests of the company
    • Develop an understanding of the voice of the CEO and our priorities and be able to reflect that within internal communications.
    • Manage editorial calendar of CEOs internal and external priorities and activities
    • Role will be 90% internal communications and 10% external communications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in English, communications or journalism, though technical degrees could be appropriate
    • 12 years of relevant work experience
    • Experience working in software or technology industry for a matrixed, multinational corporation
    • Skills to distill complex content into clear, and engaging communications, and able to write with speed and accuracy
    • Experience blending traditional internal communications tactics with new media, including enterprise collaboration and online platforms
    • Strategic and comfortable debating and explaining your ideas
    • Storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives to support our business strategies
    • Experience communications strategies, plans, programs and events
    • Presence and confidence to build high credibility with senior executives
    • Work with multiple departments and teams to lead agreement and collaboration
    • Focused and performance driven
    • Project management skills
    • PowerPoint and Keynote skills; knowledge of Photoshop, HTML and SharePoint
    • Manage workload, ensure quality, and accuracy
    • Approximately 10% travel required

    Salary transparency
    Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $137,000 and $221,650. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.

    In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
