    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Job Summary

    This position is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and run multiple types of machinery that produces superior products following Essential Cabinetry Group's machining processes and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the C.A.R.E values of the organization.
    • Follow plant safety and environmental policies and keep work areas clean and orderly.
    • Measure materials for conformance to blueprint specifications using a variety of measuring devices.
    • Follow production guidelines and specifications.
    • Responsiple for reviewing products and material during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements.
    • Operate all types of woodworking equipment, sliding panel saws, band saws, mortise machines, planers and sanders, pipe clamps, biscuit jointers, tenor.
    • Manually spray products with paint and coatings while ensuring to meet quality expectations
    • Preparing surfaces to be painted cleaning, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they're smooth
    • Matching paint and other finishes to meet job specifications
    • Fill machine tanks with paints or chemicals, adding prescribed amounts per specifications
    • Adjust nozzles on the spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the spray to meet customer expectations
    • Check the flow and viscosity of the paint.
    • Check product for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections.
    • Ensure process parameters are within operational limits, temperature, and air circulation, viscosities, and ratios
    • Make workstation adjustments, including tool and fixture changes to facilitate product changeover as required.
    • Maintain charts, logbooks, databases, as required.
    • Meet daily production goals and understand cycle time requirements.
    • Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.
    • Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift.
    • Escalate concerns for material, technical, and quality issues.

    Working Relationship

    Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates, and production floor workers. The Material Handler works under the immediate supervision of the Department Supervisor.

    PPE

    Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while in the production floor. Other PPE may be required.
