- Overview Aurinias Advocacy and Strategic Alliance Manager is a U.S. field-based position, that promotes awareness and provides disease-state education about lupus nephritis to patients, care partners, healthcare professionals, and executives.
- Work with the Executive Director, Government Affairs to identify influential policy makers that support and elevate Aurinias policy agenda.
- Engage partner organizations in advocacy activities related to Aurinias health policy issues and develop strategies for increasing advocate engagement in hill days, campaigns, briefings, etc.
- Build relationships with congressional, federal agency, and external organization offices at the discretion of the Executive Director of Government Relations.
- In coordination with Advocacy Relations staff, provide strategic direction for the development of grassroots campaigns and messaging; media and social media campaigns; and Hill Days.
- Convene key influencers and stakeholders to improve awareness, education and health outcomes for people living with lupus.
- Bachelors degree in public policy, public health political science or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Understanding of and ability to create relationships with trusted community leaders and possess the ability to convene key stakeholders.
