Summary
Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs.
Staffing Resource Center (SRC) flexible float pool staff float throughout the health system to all acute care hospitals within their scope of practice and demonstrated competencies.
Seeking students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed fundamentals and have at least one year left to graduate.
You will be placed on a single nursing unit for the duration of your initial orientation.
After successfully completing the initial orientation, you will be required to float to multiple hospitals and units providing a unique opportunity for building strong relationships throughout Lee Health.
You will be exposed to a variety of clinical experiences as part of the elite SRC Team. Reliable transportation is required.Education:
Enrolled as a Nursing Student in an accredited Registered Nurse program or approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Experience:
The student must have completed the foundations or fundamentals semester of their nursing program. Student will provide an official transcript to Recruitment.
License:
No licensure required.
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
Other:
A competency skills checklist appropriate to the job description will be given to the applicant by Human Resources Recruitment.
Communication, interpersonal, basic computer and customer service skills are required. Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical terminology.
