IT Asset Specialist - Contract -Richmond, VA - $ $37.00/hr.

Our client is seeking an IT Asset Specialist in Richmond, VA.
Role description
•Responsible for performing all aspects of the company's technology asset management process to ensure equipment is accurately inventoried and accounted for:
o Producing and reviewing asset inventory and management reports
o Maintaining IT Hardware/Software Asset Management Processes and Procedures
o Work with ISM System Administrators to implement asset tracking enhancements
o Create and update process and procedure documentation for IT Hardware/Software Asset management
o Monitor and fulfill Service Catalog orders/requests routed via ISM system
o Monitor existing product stocking levels and thresholds within stockroom and follow existing processes to maintain appropriate levels
o Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure request catalog is up to date with latest hardware and pricing
o Perform and document periodic inventory audits
o Provide IT Asset Management expertise and support for IT projects as needed
o Serve as initial escalation point for IT Hardware/Software Asset Management issues
Skills & Requirements
•Associate or Higher College degree, or equivalent work experience
•At least 1 year of supply chain, procurement, supplier and/or asset management work experience is preferred
•At least 2 years of technology-related hardware work experience
•Familiarity with basic inventory management processes and procedures
•Working experience with computer hardware and components
•Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
•Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
•Occasional travel may be required
•Must be willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
•Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
