    Description


    RA Capital Management is a multi-billion AUM, multi-stage investment manager dedicated to evidence-based investing in public and private healthcare companies that are developing drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, and service offerings.

    The flexibility of its strategy allows RA Capital to provide seed funding to startups and to lead private, IPO, and follow-on financings for its portfolio companies, both facilitating the crossover process and allowing management teams to drive value creation with fewer capital concerns from inception through commercialization.

    Investment Team Opportunity


    We are looking for an investment analyst focused on long and short investing in innovative companies within healthcare technology (e.g., tools, medtech, diagnostics) or services (e.g., digital health, care delivery, pharma services) sectors.

    An ideal candidate should have direct experience investing in public equities.

    The candidate should be capable of interpreting detailed financial statements, generating a fully integrated Income Statement / Cash Flow / Balance Sheet model, and constructing investment theses.

    The candidate will be responsible for conducting meetings with company management teams, attending technical and investor conferences, interviewing customers or experts, and conducting other fundamental due diligence for investment recommendations they will be making.

    Qualifications

    2-3 years of investment banking, sell-side equity research, or related financial modeling training

    4+ years of investing

    Scientific or technical education (undergraduate major, MD, or PhD)

    Strong work ethic

    Clear and concise written and oral communication skills

    Intellectual curiosity and the ability to think creatively about trends in dynamic markets
