    JOB OVERVIEW:
    The Manager of Facilities Operations plays a crucial role in the expansive oversight of approximately 100 to 120 restaurants for core brands or 50 to 60 for Specialty Restaurants. This dynamic position entails managing both planned and unplanned projects related to Restaurant Facilities and Site Management. The objective is to maintain all building systems in exceptional working condition while safeguarding valuable assets. The Manager will collaborate with contractors, vendors, and various Operations Team members, including Brand Presidents, to ensure operational excellence.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct regular audits in restaurants (50% annually) and recommend essential capital improvements.
    • Secure approvals and effectively execute projects identified through audits, adhering to Darden's non-negotiable policies.
    • Develop an annual project list for capital and expenses based on audit results, ensuring alignment with the Operations leadership and Finance teams.
    • Provide coaching to management teams on performing minor repairs to lower costs while ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
    • Research and qualify new contractors and vendor partners for various projects.
    • Lead emergency and disaster response initiatives as required for Darden locations.
    • Manage capital projects, including administration duties, scope development, contractor selection, bidding processes, scheduling, and project supervision.
    • Prepare and present periodic reports regarding the progress of capital projects.
    • Engage with Directors of Operations, SVPs, and Brand Presidents to review project statuses and discuss brand-related issues.
    • Oversee cyclical services through contracted services, such as hood cleaning, grease trap pumping, and HVAC maintenance.
    • Work closely with legal and asset management teams to ensure landlord compliance on projects.
    • Represent Darden at regulatory meetings as necessary.
    • Assist with special projects for the Remodel and Construction Departments as needed.
    • Conduct New Restaurant Opening walk-throughs with Construction Project Managers, Operations, and contractors.
    • Perform assessments for new restaurants and 10-month warranties with Operations and Construction teams.
    • Manage facility refreshes or brand initiatives as required.

    REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • 7+ years of multi-unit building management experience, preferably in the food service industry.
    • 7+ years of experience in general construction and maintenance.
    • Thorough knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC systems, cooking equipment, and other essential building systems.
    • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and mobile devices.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Facility Management with 7+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 9+ years of experience in Facility Management.
