    Job Summary

    Optimyl Benefits is seeking Account Manager who will fully support the Company's retention and renewal strategy. The Account Manager will be responsible for optimizing the broker and client experience through the management of existing business.


    Essential Responsibilities:
    Service brokers and employer clients in the Small and Mid-Size space
    Utilize strategies to achieve customer satisfaction and retention goals
    Navigate tools to maximize performance of the department, including reporting, survey, and productivity tools
    Effectively manage service relationships with 3rd party vendors
    Effectively manage relationships with internal Sales and Underwriting teams
    Provide feedback to shape company's product, pricing, tech, and marketing strategies
    Full knowledge of agent licensure and agent commission process


    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or other quantitative analysis discipline.

    or

    6 years of relevant progressive experience


    Required Experience / Education:
    Bachelor's degree or minimum 2-4 years in an account management, customer service, or sales function for similar products (level-funded health plans, medical stop loss, self-funded health plans, fully-insured health plans) – strong preference for small employer market expertise


    Competencies and Skills:
    Proven track record of account management or sales success highly preferred
    Proficient use of Salesforce (or comparable CRM platform) Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
    Versatile in ability to resolve issues directly with agents and customers
    Self-motivated – ability to work successfully without ongoing supervision to provide timely results
    The ability to develop and grow relationships, while maintaining targeted retention rates.
    Demonstrated experience with superior presentation skills in both small and large group settings
    Excellent oral and written communication skills
    Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
    Ability to interface with and influence internal business partners using excellent interpersonal skills
    Insurance license as required by law within 60 days of hire

    Base Salary Range

    $55,000—$60,000 USD
