    About the Port Washington Children's Center

    The PWCC is a community-based, non-profit, non-sectarian organization offering high quality early childhood care and education for toddlers-three's, district-contracted UPK, and children attending after school programs and summer camps.

    Our mission is to provide exceptional, high-quality childcare and early educational experience in an emergent environment for children of families who reside or work residing or working in the community of Port Washington.     Full Job Description

    Water Safety Instructor(WSI) for Kids Port Summer Camp in Port Washington

    Camp Dates: July 1st to August 29 (9 weeks closed July 4th)

    Hours: 10am to 4:00pm

    Camp Location: Port Washington New York

    Salary: $19- $25

    Ages of Campers: K to 6th grade

    Applicants need to have their Red Cross WSI certification or be willing to become certified. In order to become certified, you would have to take a Red Cross swim class. Swim instructors are responsible for planning swim lessons and then teaching the kids how to swim. Applicants should have experience working with children and be able to swim.

    Job Types: Part-time, Contract

    Pay: $19-$25

    Experience:


    • camp or school: 1 year (Preferred)

    License/Certification:


    • Lifeguard Training (Preferred) and must have Nassau County Water Safety Instructor

    Work Location: In person
