Job summary
The Accounting Manager will supervise daily accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, general ledger activity, and month-end and year-end closing procedures. The incumbent will lead the accounting department including recruitment onboarding training performance management inspire and guide team members through coaching development fostering culture accountability continuous improvement collaborate with direct reports set annual objectives regularly review progress support professional growth conduct year-over-year period-over-period variance analysis consolidated financial reports collaborate cross-functional teams investigate variances ensure financial data integrity review account reconciliations internal financial reports each period end gathering evaluating summarizing account data assess interpret periodic reports help operational teams departments understand financial outcomes compile analyze financial statements balance sheets income statements cash flow reports manage annual audits coordinating external auditors preparing required schedules disclosures establish maintain accounting policies procedures compliance GAAP regulatory standards internal controls independently research document positions complex accounting compliance matters references relevant GAAP internal external guidelines oversee execute special projects testing system upgrades report creation implementation new account reconciliation processes.
