    Description

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Accounting Intern will assist and learn to be proficient in the following job duties and responsibilities over the course of the internship:

    • Data entry, record keeping, and maintaining accurate financial records
    • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
    • General ledger account reconciliations
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records for construction in progress and intercompany transactions
    • Create, update and maintain accurate schedules for construction projects and real estate
    • Maintain and organize electronic and paper files
    • Financial statement preparation
    • Annual 1099 preparation and reporting
    • Prioritize all assigned tasks and projects so that they are completed in a timely manner or by assigned deadlines
    • High level attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Provide continuous support to the construction team in a timely and efficient manner
    • Professional and efficient communication with all BLE team members
    Requirements:
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in accounting with a graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025
    • Ability to work a minimum twenty hours per week Monday through Friday during semesters and minimum thirty hours per week between semesters
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel, Outlook, Word
    • Basic proficiency in QuickBooks
    • Previous accounting experience or internship a plus
