    The Customer Engineering team is accountable for integrating customer solutions with our product offerings and end to end delivery of availability, performance, cost and fit for purpose solutions within the Fulfilled by Maersk platform.

    Introduction to the Role

    The Customer Engineering Team is looking for Software Engineers / Sr.

    Software Engineer to apply software development fundamentals and practices to integrate customer solutions with Maersk offerings and run our applications efficiently, and in doing so continuously meet and/or improve our Customer Experience.

    The ideal candidate for this role comes with a good experience in application development, devops skills, with strong interest in reliability and scale.

    The Senior Software Engineer, will be

    Playing a pivotal role in integrating Customer systems with Maersk Technology, Products, your Key Responsibilitiescould include -

    Build more reliable and scalable integration solutions, with ease of deployment across multiple customers.

    Evangelize, define, and implement non-functional requirements of high availability, fault tolerant and other resiliency patterns required for delightful customer experience.

    Manage and optimize infrastructure and monitoring ecosystem, this includes leveraging various technologies as defined by Enterprise Architecture and bringing your development skills to deliver to customer metrics.

    Be the custodian of all changes in the operating environment.

    Expertise in designing and developing database solutionsTriage complex issues and manage stakeholders' expectations during incidents and/or escalations, while troubleshooting and owning RCA actions.

    Participate in on-call rotations.

    Own and support both production run and transformation initiatives to push services towards best-in-class deployment and delivery methodologies, leveraging technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, APIGEE, Akamai, Middleware Technologies, SQL/NOSQL technologies, distributed systems, monitoring tools and drive cloud adoption and standardization across our on-premise and cloud environmentsCollaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers and other stakeholders to devise effective solutions, set and maintain Service level Indicators (SLI's) and metrics representative of our customer experience and/or committed SLA.Dexterity in data related solutions like Databases, ETL, EDI etc.

    Is a passionate Engineer bringing in strong experience from Enterprise grade application environment, someone who exemplifies a self-starter and learner attitude who could analytically make independent conclusions to navigate ambiguity.

    'Has been there and done that' embedded and collaboratively with Engineering Teams. An ideal candidate will bring in skills around -


    Success in an application development role, with overall 8+ years of experience in heterogeneous environments (DC and Cloud, preferably Azure)Strong experience in DevOps, containers and container orchestrationExperience to identify, define and implement monitoring and integrations to various alerting and observability tools.

    Hands on experience writing high quality code in one or two of the software languages with expertise in PL/SQL programming.

    Good breadth of operational experience, with an eye for software design, scalability and automationUnderstanding of EDI concepts, standards and data mapping techniques will be an added advantageExcellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
