- Successful candidates will support NSWCPD in the development of Operating Sequencing Systems (OSS) for various operational ship classes
- Personnel supporting this effort are anticipated to participate in developing or updating Engineering OSS (EOSS), Aviation Fuel OSS (AFOSS), Sewage Disposal OSS (SDOSS), Catapult OSS (CATOSS), Catapult Lube Oil OSS (CLOSS), Cargo Fuel OSS (CFOSS), Deck OSS (DOSS), and OSS for Hull, Mechanical & Electric (HM&E) systems as required on U.S
- Successful candidates will participate in shipboard events during planned maintenance periods where shipboard configurations will be modified
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or business discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
- Ten (10) years' experience in management of engineering projects involving maintenance, repair, testing, product improvement, or alteration of naval ship Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic, and Ordnance systems and equipment is preferred.
- Concurrent experience with engineering and logistic projects involving the development and maintenance of HM&E logistics technical data.
- Direct experience with developing, modifying and reviewing naval shipboard technical documentation is preferred.
- A working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Naval Shipyard Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair and Type Commanders' organizations is also preferred

Position Overview:

Coast Guard shipboard engineering personnel with technically correct, logically sequenced written procedures, charts, and diagrams tailored to each ship's specific configuration
OSS dictates the procedures to be followed to complete major plant status changes
The use of OSS ensures proper system and equipment operation and minimizes damage to equipment and injury to personnel.
Coast Guard steam, diesel, and gas turbine powered ships.
