- Uses a computer-controlled cutting table to cut out flat sheets of corrugated cardboard to make anything from large boxes to large printed displays for our customers.
- Works efficiently and quickly to produce design samples.
- Completes all required quality checks.
- Completes necessary documentation and reports using the computer system.
- Works overtime if necessary.
- Maintains general housekeeping around the responsible machine centers throughout the shift.
- Follows all applicable safe operating procedures and safety rules.
- Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 0-6 months of manufacturing/production experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing machinery such as Stackers, Presses, Corrugators,
- Experience with Folders, Die Cutters, or Specialty Gluers is always a plus.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure to a 1/16th of an inch.
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.
- Ability to use specific computer software to enter and utilize information in our computer systems.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in a team-oriented environment.
- Assist other areas as needed to maintain a team approach.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines.

Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Design Room Helper is responsible for cutting samples for the design department as well as short-run orders as needed. In addition, the Design Room Helper is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Design Room Helper must also be available to work scheduled hours to meet customer needs.

Pay Range: $13+/hr. (commensurate with experience)
Shift Hours: 4:00 PM-10:00 PM Monday-Friday.

required less than 10% of the time. Low levels of lifting (20 pounds or less) are
required about 10% of the time, while medium levels of lifting and carrying (25 to
50 pounds) are required less than 5% of the time.
