    Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and approval processes as well as site-specific research with respect to these issues.
    • Proficient in Revit/BIM/VDC and current Autodesk programs.
    • Experience in electrical design of convenience stores and the electrical components of associated retail fueling systems preferred.
    • Able to review, analyze and resolve Construction/Field issues.
    • Familiar with LEED and energy efficient design.

    The estimated starting base salary for this role is $95,000-$115,000.

    Your Day to Day

    • Perform work in electrical engineering for the assigned functional area such as HVAC systems, electrical service, service equipment and low voltage.
    • Assist in the electrical design calculations (low/high power distribution systems, lighting, security/fire systems, data/telecommunication systems, etc.).
    • Independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
    • Conceptualize the initial electrical design approach for major phases of large facility-type projects, or take responsibility for the electrical engineering work on a project.
    • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate electrical engineering work.
    • Oversee the design and ongoing progress of a project, including project coordination with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies.
    • Resolve a variety of complex problems, e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
    • Serves as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
    • Participate in the coordination of BIM/VDC.
    • Supervise the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project.

    Education

    • Bachelors in Electrical or Architectural Engineering

    Experience

    • PE required
    • Typically, 6 to 10 years of progressive work experience in the electrical engineering fields.
