Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Description:

Allied Reliability is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians for a Travel Contract opportunity in the Upstate New York area.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician performs in-process repairs of equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment. The primary function of this role is to keep equipment running efficiently to meet production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the event of a breakdown.
• Electrical repair and wiring of VFDs, PLCs, electrical controls, and devices such as temperature, pressure, level, position, and other sensors.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including cleaning, testing, adjustments, parts replacement, calibration, etc.
• Read schematics, prints, maintenance, and operating manuals to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Repair or rebuild components and sub-assemblies.
• Communicate with maintenance team members across departments to report and resolve issues.
• Complete verbal and written work orders as assigned.
• Document work in CMMS system.
• Comply with all safety regulations, including LOTO, at all times.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Related duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Associates in a related technical field is preferred.
• Must have 5+ years of electrical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment, or journeyman equivalent.
• Must possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following:
• Understanding of piping systems, sanitary for product flow, steam piping, and pneumatic.
• Experience with high voltage wiring, 3 phase, 480, 220, etc.
• Strong understanding of VFDs, theory, wiring of variable speed drives.
• PLC troubleshooting, wiring, programming (a plus).
• HVAC systems, exhaust fans, floor fans, and HVAC.
• Process equipment pumps, motors, filling, capping, labelers, packing, and sealing equipment.
• Personal Computing skills, mostly Outlook, Word, CMMS, and SAP (work order processing).
