    POSITION SUMMARY:


    The Business Analyst III is responsible for the establishment, execution, and documentation of requirements acquired from internal technology teams, SMEs and external stakeholders' functional requirements.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


    Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the systems, procedures, and application modules for evaluation, uncovering areas for change via the requirements implementing solutions.

    Become the expert for all the client functional requirements and how the requirements need to be implemented into the modules

    Create detailed technical requirements for simple and complex enhancements to existing systems and for new modules ensuring that solutions meet business needs and functional requirements.

    Conduct interviews with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to vet out the requirements needed and present to client.
    Manage entering Jira tickets with all appropriate contingencies and time estimates based on technical feedback. Work with Project Manager to assist with meeting deadlines.
    Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
    Lead ongoing reviews of business processes to develop optimization strategies to meet functional requirements.
    Facilitate the change request process with clients, project manager and internal development team members.
    Influence stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
    Assist with writing QA test cases for application development.
    Assist with training and documentation efforts.
    Write and release communications for enhancements to existing systems. This might include demonstrating the changes implemented.

    Attend daily meetings and make presentations when necessary to share ideas and discuss findings to determine the applicability of changes to our modules.


    REQUIREMENTS

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
    Drive requirement sessions; willing to
    Demonstrated ability to create detailed documentation and provide meaningful requirements
    Expert knowledge of project management and software development life cycle and proven ability to hit project milestones.
    Advanced technical skills, including competency using Microsoft Suite applications
    Exhibits initiative and drive to complete tasks in a timely manner.
    Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.

    Demonstrated ability to translate user/business needs into a technical style; to communicate technical instructions to system users; to analyze, evaluate, and integrate business rules into system requirements.

    6+ years of experience in business analysis


    EXPERIENCE:

    Ability to lead and document requirement-gathering sessions
    Review and analyze documentation, use-cases/stories, business rules and process flow to determine what is applicable to our business and writing requirements
    Demonstrated experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
    Ability to build positive relationships and gain trust internally and with clients
    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
    Insurance Benefit Enrollment/Member Billing/Agent Commissions experience is a must. Small group insurance preferred.


    EDUCATION
    :

    Bachelor's degree in a related field of study from an accredited university, or the equivalent functional work experience.

    This position will not supervise anyone directly, however may oversee other BA work as applicable to the project; this position works independently and as a member of a team.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Occasional off-hour/evening/weekend and/or overtime hours may be required. The essential functions of this position may be performed remotely, or in a climate-controlled office environment.
