    Medical Insurance Specialist

    Onsite in Peoria, AZ 85029 area.

    Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm

    Pay range between $18 - $23 per hour.

    Responsibilities:

    • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility by contacting insurance carriers through various communication channels, including phone calls, online portals, and email.
    • Submitting applications to AHCCCS, working with members ensuring inquires are completed.
    • Review insurance policies to determine coverage details, including co-pays, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and pre-authorization requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records of verified insurance information in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems.
    • Communicate insurance coverage details to patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries and concerns related to insurance coverage.

    What you bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 2 or more years of experience in Medical Insurance Verification and AHCCCS
    • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task
    • Ability to work individually and collaboratively, high interpersonal skills
    • Highly detailed and sense of urgency
    • Strong customer service skills while being highly professional
    Pay Details: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour
