- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility by contacting insurance carriers through various communication channels, including phone calls, online portals, and email.
- Submitting applications to AHCCCS, working with members ensuring inquires are completed.
- Review insurance policies to determine coverage details, including co-pays, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and pre-authorization requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of verified insurance information in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems.
- Communicate insurance coverage details to patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries and concerns related to insurance coverage.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience in Medical Insurance Verification and AHCCCS
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively, high interpersonal skills
- Highly detailed and sense of urgency
- Strong customer service skills while being highly professional
