The Role

We are seeking a Software Developer Full stack with front-end experience in frameworks like Ember, React, etc as well as back-end technologies like JAVA, C#, and any scripting/functional/compiled language like Python, Elixir, or Go to join our team. This position is located in our Pittsburgh office, with a hybrid working model (3 days per week in office).

Our Engineers are designing and developing our market-leading security training and assessment software. Our goal is to help organizations teach their employees to secure behavior through interactive web applications, received and managed by our customers on our proprietary SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment supporting a global SaaS product. As a Software Developer, you will lend your skill sets to help lead the design and implementation of a key customer-facing component that has high visibility and value within the organization.

Your day to day

• Work with others on the system design and delivery of scalable, secure, and supportable enterprise software solutions for our customer-facing platforms
• Participate in our agile workflow process, including concept development, architectural design, design specification, story decomposition, planning, execution, testing, acceptance, and retrospection
• Ability to get into the guts of any technical issues that the team encounters
• Be at the forefront of innovation when it comes to developing products
• Ability to balance technology debts with developing new features
• Mentor and coach and work collaboratively with other members of the team

What you bring to the team

• 2+ years hands-on experience with any of the frontend frameworks (Ember, React, Angular, etc)
• 2+ years work experience with JAVA or C#
• 2+ years work experience with any scripting/functional/compiler language like Python/Elixir or Go
• 2+ years experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in a cloud environment
• Deep understanding of web browser and API concepts (sync and async calls)
• In-depth knowledge of CSS, HTML and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and working with tools like Jenkins or similar
• Experience writing both component integration tests as well as end-to-end acceptance tests
• Solid understanding of Restful web service architecture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related technical field

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services
• Experience building customer-facing applications at scale
• Understand dependency injection (Spring), ORM concepts (Hibernate), MVC
• Database experience
• Experience with Git or other similar version control tool
• Experience with SCORM or other LMS technologies
