    The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is located in Mebane, North Carolina.

    As a Material Handler 1st Shift DS Fabrication, you will be responsible for performing shipping/warehouse work in our Mebane, NC facility.

    All positions will report and work under the general supervision of a Manager and Team Leader. Your responsibilitiesManage appropriate documentation related to material movementsLoad raw materials into automated material storage systemsPerform material movements throughout the production environmentUnload and stock incoming materials (up to 40 lbs. repetitively)


    Receive raw materials, chemicals, parts, and other itemsOperate forklift/reach truck to put away inventoryFollow all Standard Operating Procedures and PoliciesMaintain fabrication material stores area and participate in housekeeping/safety/environmental inspectionsPlace Safety as a core value and perform all work to Safety specificationsIdentify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective actionMust wear specified company-provided personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, and hearing protection always in designated areasMust be willing to work schedule as dictated for the departmentWilling to work Overtime as required with or without prior noticeMust be dependable, reporting to work on time, ready to workBe familiar with basic computer functions such as creating, sending, and receiving e-mail and data entryHave a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative and a professional attitudeMust have clear and concise verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodationMust be willing to work in Non-Temperature Controlled Environment Work duties may include walking up to 5 miles daily in warehouse environmentOther duties as assignedYour background2 years of experience performing material handling activities in a manufacturing environmentStrong interpersonal skillsMust be self-motivated with a high level of engagementAdept problem-solving skillsPractical experience with SAP and other applicable softwareAbility to collaborate with multiple departments and work teamsExperience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environmentPractical experience with SAP and other applicable softwareCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USMore about usWe look forward to receiving your application.
