    Description
    The Product Technical Advisor is responsible for supporting Private Brands. To excel in this role, you should be excellent in verbal and written communication. You should also possess a strong knowledge of how our products enhance the customer's experience.

    A thorough knowledge of and experience working with both OEM and aftermarket/Performance parts and fitting them to a vehicle is vital to success in this position including the ability to work directly with vehicles.

    You will need to be able to work within a team of product developers, engineers, and operations personnel to further a cohesive brand image and product line.


    Where you'll spend your time:


    Using support systems to help direct customers as well as internal brands to support the products and services offered within the Private Brands reach.

    Work directly with brand engineer(s) to create clear, concise installation instructions.
    Work to create internal documentation of all products, such as electronics pinouts, wiring diagrams, etc.
    Assist in creation of vehicle fitment master lists.
    Assist Product Development and Engineering teams in brainstorming new products.
    Test fit and evaluate engineering samples of new products for vitality.
    Meeting within the team on a weekly basis to strategize and plan for better of the team.
    Testing customer warranty issues for defects and analyzing faults for feedback to manufacturers.
    Other duties may be assigned.

    You have/possess:
    High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Must be mechanically inclined/proficient with intermediate or advanced mechanical knowledge, Sport compact performance preferred.
    2-3 years' experience working with aftermarket performance parts including parts and fitment is required.
    Knowledge of OEM parts
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Proficient in MS Office products including Word and Excel
    Customer-oriented attitude, with a strong desire to go above and beyond the needs of customers

    Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze customers' needs and make recommendations based on your knowledge of the product, mechanical knowledge, and business goals and objectives.

    Office environment must be able to work at a desk and requires extended periods of sitting/standing
    Exposure to a shop environment including exposure to hazardous conditions, requires exposure to hazardous equipment, includes exposure to contaminants, includes exposure to sounds and noise levels
    Requires ability to follow safety standards including wearing specialized protective or safety equipment
    Requires ability to work with hand and power tools
    Regular Bending, Pushing, kneeling, crouching, stooping,
    Requires repetitive motion and movement
    Requires ability to lift 35 – 50 lbs on a regular basis
    Required speaking and reading English
    Ability to properly set and operate a vehicle lift and other specialized tools
