    Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for auditing, documenting, and reporting of Motor Coach Driver's / Van Drivers logbooks and inspection reports. Safety Coordinators are to audit trip documentation and report any drivers not following Company safety policies as well as those stated under FMCSA 49 CFR.

    JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits by gathering and auditing logs, fuel receipts, pre/post inspections along with other required documents. This includes Motor Coach Drivers and Van Drivers.
    • Auditing driver logs with required documentation shall be in accordance with the GPS report that is printed out upon every driver's arrival.
    • Logs will be audited for form and manner violations, hours of service violations, grid and recap violations and log falsification (FMCSA 49 CFR PART 395)
    • Audit 10/15/70-hour rule on a daily basis in accordance with the sleeper berth and off-duty time.
    • Assist the Safety Director
    • Conducts and communicates any issues related to safety.
    • Documents and communicates property damage or injuries.
    • Coordinates and manages all permits and vehicles as required.
    • Manages and communicates vehicle issues with the Maintenance shop
    • Responsible for the filing and maintenance of files associated with drivers and transportation compliance such as pre/post trips, log books, fuel receipts, etc.
    • DOT Inspection reports/violations/driver tickets shall be reported to the Safety Director immediately or Maintenance Director
    • Track location of units and drivers utilizing GPS system
    • Visual inspection of motor coach and van units when required (Exit windows, lights, wipers, tires, cleanliness of bus)
    • Communicate driver safety issues to the Safety Director
    • Administer vehicle, and safety records in compliance with all provincial and federal transport regulations
    • Assist with the training of all drivers and employees
    • Communicate weather conditions to all and assist in alternate routes due to weather or traffic conditions.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 years of experience in the transportation industry Preferred.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.

    EDUCATION:

    • High school diploma or equivalent Required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Sedentary - Exerting up to 10lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
