    About the jobThe Red Hat Enhanced Support team is looking for an enterprise-level technical support engineer to join us remotely in North America.

    In this role, you will be critical to the success of Red Hats most strategic customers by serving as a technical expert supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

    You will regularly collaborate with colleagues from Red Hat, your customers, and technology partners and help support solutions that allow enterprise customers to successfully deploy and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

    Work location near a Red Hat office is preferred; however, well-qualified remote engineers in the U.S. and Canada will be considered.

    For this role, we are looking for someone who can work HYBRID in Raleigh NC, Boston MA or Lowell MA .What you will doAbility to work HYBRID in Raleigh NC, Boston MA or Lowell MAWork with Red Hat partners, customers, and cloud providers to create joint solutions based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Provide technical support to Red Hat enterprise customers customers by responding to incoming calls, chat, and web-based inquiriesPartner closely with colleagues from Red Hat Sales to assist their understanding of the company's joint offerings with cloud providersRegularly communicate and collaborate with a globally-distributed team of engineersContribute internally to the Red Hat knowledge management system, share best practices with team members, and commit to internal projects and initiativesDocument diagnostic steps and create reusable solutions for future incidentsContribute to regional and global initiatives and projectsTroubleshoot and solve complex technical issues and drive issue escalation with Red Hat, cloud providers, partners, and customer teamsBe available to perform weekend shift duties on a rotational schedule when neededWhat you will bring3+ years of experience with Linux operating system installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance and a good understanding of Linux command line toolsPractical experience with cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Product.

    Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills and a passion for problem solving and investigationAbility to succeed with minimal supervision with a globally-distributed team of engineersExperience installing SAP products, including SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, etc is a plusAbility to build documentation and customer environment assessment.
