- Responsible for identifying opportunities to achieve improvement in the key business metrics of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development through application of Lean concepts.
- Management of the lean transformational activities and projects, directing the assessment, development, launch and continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to develop and share best practices across shifts within the same building as well as at a network level.
- Responsible for driving site standard work execution, 5S program performance, and process compliance.
- Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against the site objectives.
- Applies company methodologies and engineering methodologies/tools such as product slotting, studying labor standards (time studies), layouts and optimization of flow, data profiling and analysis, and resource modeling to improve distribution operations.
- Facilitates discussions and resolves conflict with key business stakeholders and integrated project teams.
- Responsible for performance and execution of the site's quality program.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical background with demonstrated experience utilizing data to drive decisions.
- Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Power Point and Excel).
- Advance Project Management skills.
- Understands and is able Lean Six-Sigma concepts, CI methodology, Kaizen events and other process improvement methods to drive key KPIs in cost, delivery, and quality.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to operate and self driven to excel in a fast paced environment, Capable of multi tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Warehouse Engineering: understanding of Product Slotting; Studying Labor Standards (time studies); Distribution Layouts; and optimization of flow, Warehouse Metrics, & Data Profiling.

Tennant Company is currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Manufacturing & Distribution site in Louisville, KY.As a member of the site Management Team, the CI Manager will own and help in building a culture of continuous improvement by driving standard work practices across all departments and delivering strict adherence to the 5S program.
While leveraging all available resources to aide in building out a world class fulfillment center. This leader will be capable of dealing with ambiguity and facilitating effective change management to move the business forward. This position is on site, not virtual.Responsibilities:
Develop advanced competency in wide range of engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards and coaching employees in the use and implementation of CI, Quality Assurance, & Lean principles.
