LOCATION: New Braunfels, TX
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (Overtime & On-call as needed)
CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a Senior-Level Industrial Technician to lead technical operations across Central Texas. This is a high-impact, mentor-style role designed for an expert capable of troubleshooting high-tonnage industrial systems (up to 350 tons). The ideal candidate is a highly responsive professional who thrives on complex electrical diagnostics and is prepared to support operational demands both during and outside standard shift hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform heavy electrical and electronic troubleshooting, including sensor replacement, communication cable repairs, and system-wide diagnostics.
- Execute repairs on high-tonnage industrial systems (up to 350 tons), focusing on system efficiency and uptime.
- Identify and repair refrigerant leaks; work extensively with industrial cooling equipment and specialized refrigerants such as PG 40.
- Serve as a technical lead, guiding and training junior technicians to ensure a high standard of work across the team.
- Maintain a "responsive" presence, remaining available for on-call support to meet critical operational demands outside of standard hours.
- Maintain precise records of diagnostics, repairs, and refrigerant usage in compliance with industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive background as a Senior Industrial Technician, specifically within HVAC/R or industrial cooling environments.
- Advanced hands-on experience with electrical components, electronic controls, and complex wiring diagnostics.
- Proven experience working on high-tonnage systems (up to 350 tons) and familiarity with PG 40 refrigerant (or the ability to adapt quickly to specialized refrigerants).
- Mentor-style personality with a willingness to share knowledge and elevate the skills of the broader team.
- Must be dependable, responsive to calls, and comfortable with a schedule that includes significant overtime.
