    Description
    Test Automation Engineer at Guidehouse in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Family : Software Development & Support (Digital)

    Travel Required :

    Up to 10% Clearance Required : Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do : + Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.

    + Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.

    + Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts including test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.

    + Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results. + Participate in or hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. + Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. + Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements. + Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

    + Must have experience with Agile methodology and have worked in scrum teams + Create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases.


    What You Will Need :
    + Associate or Bachelor's degree: + Associate degree can be substituted with 2 additional years of experience; Or + Bachelor's degree can be substituted with 4 additional years of experience. + US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust years of Testing experience + Experience scripting using automated test tools to develop more complex test scenarios. + Experience working on full lifecycle software development projects. + Experience using automated test tools to record and play back test scripts. + Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications. + Liaison with development, project management, and customer support. + Strong written and oral communication skills + Exceptional customer service skills. + Strong time-management and prioritization skills. + Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others. + Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.

    What Would Be Nice To Have :
    + Section 508 Trusted Tester + Experience testing GIS applications + Supporting Federal project The annual salary range for this position is $66,700.00-$100, Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs
