- Execute in vivo experimentation, including tumor implantation, dosing, and handling of investigational drugs (including chemotherapeutics), tumor volume measurements as well collection of tissues/tumors for downstream analysis. Daily monitoring of ongoing in vivo experiments. Work closely with in vivo sciences staff and Vets monitoring animal welfare and health.
- Assist team with planning, design, and execution, of various in vivo syngeneic and xenografts tumor studies. Use established DDI guidelines for in vivo data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Conduct in vitro human and ex vivo mouse immunology experiments to support ongoing immune-oncology portfolio including assays using cancer cell, myeloid, and T-cell based co-cultures. Tumor cell biology analysis including analysis of PDX lines and tumor dissociated materials to investigate MoA of investigational drugs.
- Role requires agility and flexibility in the application of diverse cellular and molecular biology techniques and assays (e.g. cell/organoid culture, compound screening, FACS, ELISA, MSD, western blotting, qRT-PCR, cell transfections & transductions, viral productions etc.).
- Support the discovery biology team with experimental set-up, assay optimization, analyzing data using appropriate statistical methods and preparing data for presentation-ready format and ELN entry.
- Maintain detailed experimental records and stay compliant with all relevant internal and external training requirements.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (such as Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Tumor Immunology) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory-based experience in industry/biotech or an academic setting is required.
- Experience with animal handling in oncology-relevant rodent models such as subcutaneous and orthotopic tumor implantation techniques, dosing, proper handling of therapeutics, tumor measurement, health monitoring, data collection and analysis is required.
- Experience with adherence to animal welfare and compliance regulations is required.
- Drug administration by subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, intravenous tail vein injections and oral gavage. Blood collection by tail vein, saphenous vein and cardiac puncture. Perform animal autopsy/dissection and microsurgery, perfusion and tissue collection.
- Experienced with cell culture of cancer or immune cells is a plus.
- Experienced with bioluminescent imaging, flow cytometry, IHC, ELISA/MSD is a plus.
- Learning agility and the ability to work across multiple projects highly preferred.
- This position may require occasional weekend, evening, and holiday dosing/animal monitoring.

We are seeking an Associate Scientist with prior Oncology-based rodent modeling experience to join our FSP-long-term team at our major, Global Pharmaceutical client. You will be an employee of Randstad Life Sciences with a salary, benefits and vacation time.
This role has a primary focus on In Vivo experimentation on rodents for tumor modeling - you must bring a backround with mice/rodents to qualify for this position.
Associate Scientist in vivo Interventional Oncology (Randstad FSP Program).
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to complement our Discovery Biology team. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of scientists in exploratory immuno-oncology, playing a key role in the evaluation and understanding of new drug concepts in vitro and in vivo.
