    Position Summary:

    The Training Coordinator develops, documents, maintains, and delivers training materials and methods to clinical and non-clinical staff on agency computer systems and workflows.

    Delivery of training materials occur through a variety of modalities including in person classroom, video, webinar, electronic documentation, etc.

    The Trainer Manager uses best practice Adult Learning principles to create, update, and replace existing training content into easy-to-understand learning objectives and activities for end users.

    Monthly review, coordination, communication, and documentation of application upgrades is included in this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to balance competing priorities is required.

    Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintaining the systems training environments, training materials and methods for clinical and non-clinical end users in Epic and supported ancillary applications per direction of supervisor and leadership.

    Conducting orientation programs and arranges on-the-job training for new hires.

    Coordinating and providing direct end user training for Epic and ancillary applicationsIdentifying and filling gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among staff.

    Participating in process improvement activities, as needed.
    Maintaining in-depth understanding of the organizational applications, system updates, SIHB policies and procedures, and established or new workflows.

    Facilitating release cycle updates in partnership with IT staff and EHR Support Analysts, ensuring all documentation and training materials are in sync with release improvements.

    Participating in project planning as appropriate.
    Collaborating with application vendors when needed.
    Complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and SIHB Health policies and procedures.


    Specific training management accountabilities include:
    Fostering communication and cooperation between all people involved in trainingsOrganizing meetings with management and/or assigned staff before preparing course materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training subjects and processesDelivering trainings on scheduleAdministering tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training strategiesPresenting training status and results to department and division leadersProblem-solving for issues that may interfere with training objectivesResearching methods and techniques in workplace training to remain up to date on developments within the industryPerforming other duties, special projects, or work, as assignedQualificationsRequired:Bachelors degree in education, human resources, healthcare, or related field3 years of experience directly related to organizational education1 year Health care experience, especially in Indigenous or underserved communities1 year Experience with Epic EHRProficient using Microsoft SuiteWorking knowledge of best practices in Adult Learning principlesStrong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skillsStrong 'people skills' with the ability to build rapport and demonstrated ability to work across organizations and multiple audiencesComfort with technology and ability to adapt to changePreferred:Learning Management System experienceE-Learning course design experience

    Work Environment:
    Office hours are currently 4-10 work schedule worked between Monday-Friday. The position requires all work to be performed on-site. Not eligible for remote work.
