Job Description MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER EDUCATION CERTIFICATION ANDOR LICENSURE Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master's Degree in Nursing National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department EXPERIENCE Eligible and talented new graduates will be considered PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION CERTIFICATION ANDOR LICENSURE WHNP or FNP certification preferred DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC At the discretion of the department and as applicable to section APRNs requesting to be privileged as First Assists in perioperative services will be required to complete an ANOR approved CNOR Certificate program obtain passing grade on CNOR certification exam EXPERIENCE POSITION SUMMARY The Advance Practice Professional APP is individual clinical medical skills expertise care obstetricsgynecology patients APP completes comprehensive patient health evaluations biological social psychological assessments taking into account patient co-morbid conditions overall disposition collaboration appropriate clinicalfaculty team APP assesses coordinates educational psychosocial needs patient caretakers reviews develops plan care members clinical team participates directing coordinating discharge planningfollow-up APP participates education residents medicalnursing students performs diagnostic therapeutic procedures provides healthcare services consistent state law requirements professional licensingcertification authority hospital privileges
