- Monitor and supervise program area, both staff and people served. Be a visible presence in the program area.
- Direct communication with the ECRC(s) or Administrator of any issues regarding staff performance.
- Coordinate daily schedule to include appointments, subs, volunteer sites, vehicle coordination, re-certifications, in-service training, etc.
- Plan and provide initial and ongoing training for staff.
- Schedule NSO, IT for employees working towards module certifications, CPR First Aid and medication re-certifications. Maintain consistent communication with staff trainer.
- Plan and coordinate fire, tornado, shelter in place, and missing persons drills.
- Coordination of all program transportation.
- Coordinate with ECRC(s) and/or Administrator for leave requests.
- Monitor work crews and work sites as assigned to ensure quality of work, as applicable.
- Determine productivity of people working on production sites utilizing Department of Labor standards.
- Provide medication training as needed.
- Prepare, attend, participate and, provide follow-up for meetings as assigned.
- Prepare written reports as required by the agency.
- Obtain and maintain certifications in medication administration, CPR, First Aid, and therapeutic response.
- Complete in-service training as assigned.
- Assist with personal care and other direct care as assigned.
- Obtain necessary program supplies for day-to-day operations.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED as a minimal educational requirement.
- A valid North Dakota driver's license.
- Two years' experience in service delivery with people who have developmental disabilities.
- Certification in the North Dakota Developmental Disabilities Module Curriculum.
- Ability to effectively supervise and train staff
- Ability to accurately complete behavioral observations and determine a person enrolled strengths and weaknesses.
- Ability to implement the plans of people served.
- Ability to develop means of evaluation and documentation of progress of people served.
- Knowledge and ability to use age-appropriate training techniques.
- Knowledge of therapeutic responses techniques and policy.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with all information used on the job.
