    At Nation's Transportation, our Independent Care Drivers are essential contractors dedicated to providing reliable, compassionate, and safe non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services. In this role, you will facilitate members' access to healthcare appointments, therapy sessions, and other vital destinations.

    This opportunity offers you flexibility and freedom while allowing you to make a meaningful impact in your community. As an Independent Care Driver, you are a crucial part of our mission to enhance healthcare access and empower individuals to lead healthier, more independent lives.

    The compensation model is straightforward: Nation's Transportation does NOT take commissions on trips, ensuring you take home 100% of your earnings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize your own insured vehicle to provide safe, reliable transportation for members, ensuring timely arrivals and adherence to trip specifications.
    • Deliver a professional and courteous experience, assisting members with door-to-door or curb-to-curb services as necessary.
    • Effectively communicate with Nation's dispatch and adhere to all assigned trip instructions through the HQ Portal system.
    • Maintain your vehicle to ensure it meets safety and compliance standards.
    • Accommodate special requests, such as mobility assistance or companion travel when needed.
    • Remain flexible and responsive to any changes in trip assignments.

    Qualifications:

    • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • A reliable, insured vehicle, 2010 or newer, that meets Nation's Transportation standards.
    • The ability to pass background checks and certification processes.
    • Successful completion of vehicle inspection requirements.
    • Vehicle registration in your name.
    • Strong communication skills coupled with a commitment to providing excellent service.
    • Empathy, patience, and professionalism when engaging with members who have diverse needs.
    • Flexibility to accept trips on your own schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

    Preferred Traits of Successful Independent Care Drivers:

    • Experience in healthcare, transportation, or customer service.
    • Familiarity with non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services.
    • CPR or First Aid certification (a plus but not essential).
