    Description

Our client, a leading company in the health sciences industry, is currently seeking a dynamic IT Program Manager to lead the deployment and operationalization of a new Cisco network across their facilities. This strategic role will primarily manage the transition and cutover processes within a complex, multi-site infrastructure environment. This person will orchestrate detailed project plans, spearhead vendor negotiations, and ensure meticulous execution against strict deadlines and budget constraints.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise and program management acumen, ideally from someone who has evolved from hands-on technical roles to leadership positions within IT infrastructure projects. Regular travel to various Boston-area sites expected to facilitate effective implementation and collaboration is expected.

**This is a 9-month W2 position. It is eligible for extension or conversion to FTE based on need, performance, and attendance. It is not eligible for C2C, H1B transfer, or 1099 employment.**

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the implementation and site cutover of the new Cisco network across multiple locations, including the detailed planning and coordination of vendor activities to ensure alignment with governance standards and budget constraints.
    • Oversee the execution of the network transformation program, ensuring robust communication and collaboration within the organization to improve operational effectiveness and meet quality checks.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with diverse international vendors, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Statements of Work (SoWs) to support project implementation and delivery.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, identify and address risks with detailed mitigation plans, and ensure readiness for on-site activities, including pilot site implementations and final cutover execution.

    Desired Experience

    • Experience transitioning from technical roles such as engineering or systems analysis to program management, with a focus on infrastructure and network projects.
    • Demonstrated success in managing and coordinating multinational and cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    • Strong proficiency with IT infrastructure technologies, especially Cisco systems; familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS is a plus.
    • Highly skilled in project planning, vendor management, risk assessment, and executing complex projects with precision and within set deadlines.
