- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Minimum two years' experience in accounts payable, preferably in healthcare, physician owned practice, or ASC setting
- Minimum two years' experience working with accounting software systems, preferably Great Plains Dynamics
- Experience using an electronic medical records system
- Working knowledge of Windows, computer proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, providers, and patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prepare accurate monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements, and comparative reports
- Maintain general ledger
- Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards
- Reconcile bank statements
- Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- Maintains, modifies, and updates data in the general ledger and financial reporting software
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
- Processes the financial transactions for the Ambulatory Surgical Center
- Assists with the facilitation of retirement plan audits and financial statement compilation
- Assists with day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department
- Participates in ad hoc projects when asked
- Follows all applicable department and practice policies and procedures
- Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice
- Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job function
- Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned
- Attends all regular meetings
