    Job Summary

    The Operations and Communications Manager will support the Purdue Quantum Science and Engineering Institute (PQSEI) Director and Managing Director by managing general operations of the institute and communications efforts both internally and with external partners. Duties will include assisting in day-to-day operations, planning events, managing social media accounts, and creating newsletters.

    Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in management, marketing, communications, leadership, science, or engineering
    • One (1) year of experience
    • Excellent organizational and communications skills
    • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
    • Experience using social media accounts such as X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
    • Ability to be creative and work independently
    • Ability to manage data collection for a variety of metrics (such as funding levels, publications, total researchers, etc.)
    Preferred:
    • A background in/knowledge of science and engineering
    • Experience planning/organizing events
    • Experience with graphic design software
    • Website design/management experience
