    Production Scheduling ManagerThis position is responsible for the management and optimization of operations schedule for the company. This Manager will report to the Vice President of Operations and will have direct reports as needed.

    An ideal candidate would have experience in capacity planning and scheduling in production environments, aware of manufacturing engineering and lean production concepts, and interested in pursuing a career in operations and supply chain management.


    Duties include the following:
    Optimize Schedule Use scheduling systems (currently Smartsheet, 10K', Prodsmart) to know and maintain the work schedules of the design and production departmentSynchronize schedules across systems to maintain accurate informationCollaborate with Sales/Design/Production/Finance to set deadlines and know what can push, pull and fill in to optimize throughputManage and day to day, week to week schedule, along with understanding what is coming down the pipeline the next two weeks and beyondFunnel and Manage New Project Set-up Delegate Project Set-ups and ensure everything gets entered inKnow how tentative (pre-award) and newly awarded projects can fit in the scheduleNotify Design and Production team leads of new projects and deadlineRelease Production Paperwork Gather production paperwork from the Design team and release according to project schedules and material availabilityCollaborate with Material Handler and Production Supervisor to stage and schedule machine operationsEnsure that pre-determined machine maintenance is built into the scheduleCommunicate and Report Schedule Report schedule with Sales/Design/Production to communicate deadlinesMaintain Master Schedule and report to companyMaintain Percent Complete and report to companySuccess
    • This position is focused on knowing the schedules and optimizing the amount of available work in Design and Production.

    The indications of success in this role are:
    Minimized ebbs and flows of Design and Production schedulesMaximized available production throughput (machine hours and parts)Knowledge of upcoming work (stay 2+ weeks ahead)Knowledge of what can push and pull and fill into the scheduleGrowth
    • This role requires expert knowledge of schedule systems and awareness knowledge of all design and production processes.
