Job summary
Under the general supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist, according to standard procedures, operates a magnet-ic resonance imaging unit and related equipment in order to produce images of any designated anatomical area.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates understanding of Hospital's Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrates understanding of job description, per-formance expectations, and competency assessment plan
- Complies with department and hospital policies and procedures
- Screens all patients and visitors prior to entry into the MRI Scan Room for contra-indicated items i.e. implants that are not MRI compatible Any ferrious metal objects and for pregnancy
- Communicates to the patient the nature and type of examination to be performed
