    Construction Inspector Supervisor

    This is an intermediate-level inspection position involving the continuous on-site inspection of municipal-type construction of new facilities for the Authority with the purpose of determining that such facilities are completed in accordance with the details of the plans and specifications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect the construction of all new facilities for the Authority to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
    • Coordinate various tests of materials and equipment as needed.
    • Advise Construction Inspector II or Supervisor when corrections are not made by the contractor.
    • Maintain a daily log of activities, weather conditions, work quantities, etc.
    • Verify quantity of work accomplished on each monthly estimate and recommend payment.
    • Be available to contractors during working hours to resolve questions and address concerns.
    • Ensure construction activities are confined to certified easements or project sites.
    • Review contractor's weekly payrolls and interview employees for compliance with Davis-Beacon requirements.
    • Coordinate contractor's activities with project plant operations.
    • Review contract documents.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED; 60 college credit hours in math and/or physics preferred.
    • Four years of on-the-job training and four years of construction-related work experience.
    • Valid Texas driver's license.

    Working Conditions:

    Exposure to weather and chemical hazards. May require relocation for an extended period.
