Status: Full-time, Exempt
Working Hours: 8am – 5pm, Hours may vary depending on business needs.

Miura America is committed to Setting the New Standard in Thermal Energy & Process Water within the United States and is seeking a Safety Coordinator based out of our Rockmart, GA location.
Purpose of Position:
The Safety Coordinator supports Miura America's commitment to providing a safe, compliant, and respectful workplace by administering and strengthening safety programs across manufacturing, warehouse, and field operations. This role partners closely with General Affairs, People Support, Operations, Maintenance, and Leadership to ensure consistent safety practices, accurate incident tracking, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement aligned with the Miura Way. The Safety Coordinator serves as the central point of coordination for workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, safety training, audits, and customer safety requests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safety Program Administration
- Support and maintain Miura America's safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Administer safety documentation including the Safety Manual, incident reporting processes, and corrective action tracking.
- Ensure safety programs are applied consistently across manufacturing, warehouse, and field service environments.
- Serve as a safety resource for supervisors and employees, reinforcing Miura's expectation that safety comes first in all work activities.
Incident, Injury & Near‑Miss Management
- Coordinate the reporting, investigation, and documentation of all workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses.
- Lead or assist with root‑cause analyses and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked to completion.
- Maintain accurate safety records, including incident logs, injury documentation, lost‑time tracking, and restricted duty coordination.
- Partner with Human Resources on return‑to‑work coordination and documentation, as applicable.
- Prepare safety summaries and data for leadership review, customer requests, and audits.
Safety Committee & Employee Engagement
- Support Miura's Safety Committee by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, documenting minutes, and tracking action items.
- Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives, near‑miss reporting, and hazard identification.
- Promote a positive, non‑punitive safety culture aligned with Miura's Discipline in Support of Safety philosophy.
Training & Compliance
Coordinate and track safety training requirements, including new‑hire safety orientation, refresher training, and role‑specific safety instruction.
- Monitor completion of assigned safety training and follow up with supervisors as needed.
- Support OSHA recordkeeping requirements and postings (e.g., OSHA 300/300A). Assist with internal inspections, external audits, regulatory visits, and customer safety Assessments.
Risk Reduction & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and hazard assessments of manufacturing and operational areas.
- Analyze incident and near‑miss trends to identify risk areas and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Leadership to implement sustainable safety improvements that support operational
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
- All other duties as necessary.
Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):
- Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in an occupational safety role within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly regulated environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance, with proven experience applying these standards in the workplace
- Experience and ability to independently manage safety programs, including policy development, compliance, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Strong judgment, accountability, and ability to assume ownership of the safety function and to effectively lead and support safety efforts across the organization.
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience supporting multi-site or nationwide operations
- Prior involvement with safety committee and audit preparation
