Job summary
The Operating Room Manager has responsibility for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients and staff in the intraoperative areas.The job involves planning, directing, coordinating and evaluating clinical practices and activities necessary to function daily,
participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures,
monitoring patient care to assess progress of operating room process,
communicating any delays preoperatively to surgeons anesthesiologists operating room registration staff in timely accurate manner
Maintain open communication with all staff promote improvement in performance quality care In absence other Center Leadership has authority make decisions Center areas patient care human resources clinical financial management
- Provide supervision leadership guidance OR staff problem solving resource management outcome achievement team cohesion
- Demonstrate staffing accountability through planning assigning directing work subordinate staff training appraising performance conjunction with Center Leadership
- Evaluate performance objectives metrics Center assess level competence staff timely manner
