- Possesses a thorough understanding of the theory and practices of behavioral health integration, typically acquired through extensive practical experience in an integrated primary care environment and/or advanced learning through an integrated care certification and master's or doctoral level degree program.
- Understands and consistently supports the uniform implementation of NMHSI's relevant clinical guidelines and organizational policies and procedures in assigned areas.
- Focuses self and team members on functional outcomes for patients that improve quality of life and reduce unnecessary or inappropriate utilization of the health care system
- Master's prepared Social Worker or Professional Counselor preferred (NMHSI is willing to supervise an LLMSW or LLPC)
- Experience providing counseling services for children, adolescents and families preferred.
- Licensed as a Master's Social Worker in the State of Michigan or as a Fully Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan (will consider Limited Licensure)

In this role you will provide professional, in-depth, mental health counseling services to students aged 3-21, within a school-based healthcare setting. You may interact with other child and adolescent health clinics, other healthcare professionals as well as a multi-disciplinary school staff team. The on-site school Behavioral Health Therapist is part of a team at the Child and Adolescent Health Center responsible to provide important access to healthcare services for students and serves as an integrating link for Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc. and Traverse City East Middle School. This position is very busy during the school year allowing for time to plan and receive additional training in the slower summer months.Salary: $63,000-76,000
