Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
Our Project Managers are experienced in commercial HVAC and Mechanical Construction and likes the challenge of unique designs, projects and deadlines.
You will be able to run jobs big and small, coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously, while also providing leadership to project engineers and partnering with our field staff to ensure flawless project delivery.
You will also manage project milestones, identifying and coordinating resource requirements.One of the most important skills sets you possess is the ability to exercise a high level of judgment and work autonomously within company processes.
You are willing to learn the Southland way of doing work and are eager to learn from others at all levels of the organization.
The experience you have allows you to have a short learning curve, but does not present a barrier to learning new things.

You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and execute all levels of project management activities and responsibilities; you are not someone that can't perform without support staff.

What you'll do:
Develops client relations by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
Managed budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on scheduleDevelops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other report as necessary.
Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.What you'll need to be successful:
Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experienceMinimum 5-7 years' experienceProven ability to manage small teamsStrong negotiation skillsExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsStrong financial acumenExcellent project management skillsExperience managing subcontractorsStrong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as ExcelYOU Matter
