    * $5,000 Sign-on bonus for Full-Time Availability*

    Vesta, Inc is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to provide Substance Use services at our Lanham Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Vesta serves individuals who are suffering from a wide range of diagnosis including severe mental illness and substance use disorders. The ideal candidate would provide counseling services (individual sessions and groups) to clients in our Substance Use program. This position may also provide individual, family, and group therapy as well as treatment planning and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that consumers in our clinic are receiving quality mental health care.

    Hours for the position are Monday through Friday Full time, with some flexibility during the evening hours for group sessions.

    Applicants MUST be licensed in the state of Maryland to provide mental health services (LGPC, LCPC, LGSW, LCSW-C, LGMFT, LCMFT) who have experience working with experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. Supervision will be provided for graduate level candidates. Current/recently graduated social work and counseling interns are encouraged to apply

    Responsibilities:
    • Evaluate clients' mental and physical health, addiction, or problem behavior and assess their readiness for treatment.
    • Help clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their addiction or modify their behavior.
    • Complete required evaluations and assessments, including screening, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM and biopsychosocial histories.
    • Provides individual and/or group sessions and social casework for residents/clients and their families.
    • Serves as a member of the treatment team, working with other disciplines in diagnosing problems, formulating treatment plans, and evaluating progress.
    • Provides necessary social work treatment in accordance with medical treatment plans and modifies these plans to further therapeutic goals.
    • Prepares socio-psychiatric case history information, psychosocial assessment, and social work treatment plans, for use in pre-admission screening and diagnosis.
    • Ability to provide clinical supervision preferred but not required (LCSW-C and LCPC).


    Therapists are fee-for-service and are paid based on a monthly invoice.
