    Description

    Air and Marine Operations (AMO) offers Merchant Mariners an exceptional opportunity for a career in law enforcement, working with highly trained professionals. This rewarding job provides great pay, benefits, and job stability.

    As a Marine Interdiction Agent (MIA), you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations to detect, prevent, and apprehend terrorists and contraband. Duties include:

    • Monitoring suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels
    • Interpreting radar data to calculate intercepts
    • Searching persons and cargo for contraband
    • Collecting and analyzing intelligence

    You must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential and meet one of the following requirements:

    • One year of specialized experience performing duties such as controlling law enforcement scenes, conducting investigative inquiries, and utilizing surveillance equipment
    • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, three years of graduate education, or LL.M.
    • A combination of post-bachelors' education and experience

    Other requirements include U.S. citizenship, primary residency in the United States for at least three of the last five years, and meeting age requirements or having creditable law enforcement officer service.
